SHAHRAZ HOTEL
Iran, Shiraz
Afshan Villa, whose name is derived from a type of Iranian carpet, has evolved based on the concentrated geometry and radial multiplication of the Iranian carpet, which is placed in the lower layer of the building and combined with modular geometry. Also, the mesh in the upper layers forms a unified duality that expresses the unity of Iranian culture in all ages and means the flow of life in the rule of time.
The interior design of Afshan Villa is based more on the separation of the geometry of the Iranian carpet and the shells emerging from it and has preserved the purity of the unity of Iranian architecture in the plan and spatial quality. The bottom consists of arcs that are repeated inwards with geometry. The Iranian carpet is a display of openness and transparency in Iranian architecture and forms the main structure of the Afshan Villa building. Based on that, the floors are based on modular geometry and regular geometric rules. In this way, the rule of architectural form is based on geometry, inspired by the geometric patterns of Iranian carpets inside and outside the villa.
